Almost three-quarters of the UK is farmland. But only 60% of food people eat in the UK is grown in the UK. The rest is imported from other countries.

…Rice. It’s the staple food of more than half of the world population, and it’s been that way for centuries.

3.      Tomatoes are Fruits

Surprised with this fact? We either. Botanically tomatoes are considered as fruits, nutritionally – as vegetables. So, it is both – fruit and vegetable. [MN1] Tomatoes are the most harvested fruits in the world, occupying 182 million metric tons

4.      Three Fastest Growing Vegetables

You won’t grow any vegetable in your garden faster than 30 days. Radishes are probably the fastest growing vegetable in your garden, being ready to pick in as little as 30 days from planting the seeds. Cucumbers and Pak Choi can be grown for 50-60 days after sowing the seeds.

5.      Eight Healthiest Berries You Can Eat

Strawberries are the most popular, but the healthiest are blueberries. The second place goes to raspberries, and the third – to goji berry. Popular sweet strawberries take the forth place, then go bilberry, açaí berries, cranberries and grapes.
